Product Review: Lu'Lu' Bag

Monthly subscription boxes have been around for a while now in the beauty industry; where you pay a set fee to receive a selection of products each month. Lu'Lu' Bag is a company bringing the same theme with a twist. They offer bags which include a scarf, undercap, pins and jewellery. The bags come in three different types: Classy, Funky, and Blend so you can choose which style you prefer.

I was sent a Classy bag, which included a striped scarf, grey undercap, snake chain bracelet and pin cushion. They were all packaged in lilac tissue paper and placed inside a large organza gift bag:

The scarf measures 180cm x 110cm and is made of polyester. The print is a mixture of brown, blue, grey and black brushstroke stripes. It is quite lightweight but does need folding over before wrapping as it is so large. The grey undercap is the tie-back variety, and is also very soft and lightweight. The pin cushion measures 10cm x 10cm and is made of a thick purple fabric. Although not particularly decorative, it is a really handy item to have on your dressing table to stop pins getting misplaced.

The snake chain bracelet is a really stand-out piece. It consists of three chains each of silver black and gold, and is versatile enough to be worn day or night. However, I did find that it was quite large for my wrist and kept slipping off even when I tried to twist it round.

Overall, I think some of the accessories do need tweaking and I felt the print of the hijab would perhaps be better suited to one of the other bags rather than the 'Classy'. However, I do think it is a great concept to include scarves and accessories which complement each other, and the bag would be a particularly good idea for new hijabis or as a gift.
